Swim Global Project and SplashSave Unite to Eliminate Drowning

Our Partnership
SplashSave and Swim Global Project Join Forces to Eliminate Drowning Worldwide
We’re proud to announce a powerful new partnership between the Swim Global Project and SplashSave, uniting two passionate organisations in the fight to end preventable drowning.
This collaboration brings together innovative digital tools, culturally relevant education, and community-based leadership to empower local ambassadors and communities, elevate lifesaving skills, and expand access to water safety programs worldwide.
Together, we’re launching a global movement to ensure every child, educator, and family has the knowledge, resources, and support they need to be water safe — no matter where they live.
We’re scaling real solutions, from the ground up.
Uniting to End Preventable Drowning: Swim Global Project & SplashSave
Every year, drowning claims more than 236,000 lives globally, with the highest rates among children under 5 and those in low-resource communities. These deaths are not accidents — they are preventable.
That’s why Swim Global Project and SplashSave have come together in a bold new partnership to scale lifesaving education, remove access barriers, and equip communities with the knowledge and tools to protect their own.
This partnership goes far beyond just words. It’s a commitment to equity, local ownership, and sustainable impact, guided by a shared belief that everyone, everywhere deserves the right to be water safe.

Our Collective Mission
We are excited by this partnership and together we will:
-
Empower local water safety leaders with digital training, programming, certification tools, and mentoring support.
-
Deliver culturally adapted programs that connect with families and schools where the risk is highest.
-
Seed and scale community-led initiatives, growing a global network of trained educators and Ambassadors.
-
Strengthen program delivery and evaluation, using shared data and feedback to learn and adapt.
A Partnership Designed to Support Every Step – The SplashSave Team
To help turn this vision into reality, SplashSave has committed to providing support and guidance through two of their online resources with more to follow!
The first is The SplashSave Digital Programme which offers a solid, easy-to-follow curriculum designed to support Ambassadors, parents, and communities in delivering practical water safety education where it’s needed most. Endorsed by IFSTA and the Swim Global Project as a key curriculum tool, it equips users with step-by-step guidance, activities, and resources to help build skills and confidence in any setting. Designed for flexibility and accessibility, it empowers Ambassadors to extend their reach, engage more families, and strengthen the incredible work they’re already doing in their local areas — making water safety education truly available for all.
SplashSave can also provide online support for all Ambassadors of the Swim Global Project— This will be done through a powerful support and learning platform created for aquatic educators, by aquatic educators.
The SplashSave ACE program offers:
-
A collaborative hub where Ambassadors and community leaders can share experiences, ask questions, and build solutions together.
-
On-demand resources, templates, and best-practice guides for swim schools, facilities, and outreach settings.
-
Regular webinars with global experts, covering operations, community outreach, child protection, and more.
-
A sense of belonging and mentorship, connecting leaders around the world to lift each other up.
-
A growing database of all the guidance, templates and training Ambassadors will need to make their local mission a success.
This is not just professional development — it’s a movement for those who want to be part of lasting change in water safety.
A Global Network with Local Impact
By combining Swim Global Project’s grassroots model with SplashSave’s tools and infrastructure, we are building a scalable, inclusive framework for drowning prevention.
From regional pilot programs to Global activations of communities, we’re removing silos, opening doors, and creating a pathway where everyone — from swim teachers and health workers to parents and policymakers — can be part of the solution.
